Service Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;font-size:12pt"><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>The original Scanned USGS Topology maps also known as the DRG (Digital Raster Graphic) format were produced under the original product standard from 1995 to 2001. These are now considered “Historical Topographic Maps”. (1)</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>In May 2010, USGS announced its New Generation of Maps. The ‘new’ Topology maps are now created using 3DEP elevation and hydrography data updates and high-resolution imagery. Thus they should be more accurate but different from the Historical. “Please note that not all features on historical maps appear on the US Topos”. (2) What I found most noticeable, is that the </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;"><SPAN>PLSS aka Section/Township/Range </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN><SPAN>is not on these. (3)</SPAN></SPAN></P><P /><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN /></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
